RICH YUNG REPORT: The world's first GSM/WiMax phone, the Max 4G

HTC has launched the world's first GSM/WiMax phone, the Max 4G, which allows for data transfers at speeds of up to 70Mb per second. The catch is of course, that this would only be possible in countries with WiMax-enabled networks. Thankfully, the Max 4G also comes with Wi-Fi and the slower tri-band EDGE.

Besides its broadband prowess, the Max 4G's specifications make for an equally impressive list: a 3.8-inch touch-sensitive screen with a 800 x 480 resolution, 8GB onboard flash memory, built-in GPS, and two cameras (one for video conferencing, the other for your regular pose-and-snap). But for now, it is only offered on Scartel’s Yota network in Russia.
