London Fashion Week announced a digital schedule for fall winter 2010 and Burberry ups the ante with a 3D fashion show.

It’s the first time that a brand will broadcast live simultaneous events in 3D worldwide.

The actual Burberry womens wear show will take place at The Chelsea College of Art in London at 4PM on 23 February 2010, during London Fashion Week.

But there will be private private 3D events in Paris, new York, Dubai, and Tokyo that receive live stream from London to custom screening spaces designed by Burberry Chief Creative Officer, Christopher Bailey.

The style label that brought women the 10cm heel will soon also be stocking more comfortable wear, but at a price.

The Jimmy Choo sneakers have gold eyelets, exotic skins and star-print soles and will be launched in May, according to The Times.

The designer’s pre-fall 2010 collection features eight athletic-wear styles that will run about $473 for low tops, and $633 for the high-top looks.

Other shoe brands have already diversified into the trainer market, many opting for a “high-top” design, similar to a basketball shoe that comes up beyond the ankle.

The Jimmy Choo sneakers are available exclusively from Jimmy Choo stores.

For the first time in over seven years, the venerable Lotus Elise benefits from a substantial facelift. And if you’re noticing a few cues cribbed from the Evora, your eyes aren’t playing tricks on you.

However, the new front fascia isn’t just there to lend some familial ties to its 2+2 sibling – since this is Lotus, it’s all about efficiency. Thanks to the smoother, lower nose, restyled headlamps (now with daytime running lights), larger grille and side ducting, new engine cover and reworked rump, the 2011 Elise’s coefficient of drag has been reduced by four percent.

The Toyota-sourced 1.8-liter remains amidships, putting out 192 hp in naturally aspirated guise and 217 hp when equipped with a supercharger, and for the first time Lotus is offering a new 1.6-liter engine (again, from Toyota) with 134 hp (at 6,800 rpm) and 118 pound-feet of torque (at 4,400 rpm), which should result in a 0-60 time of around six seconds. A six-speed manual remains standard on all models, and two new lightweight forged wheels are available as an option, along with cruise control.

Expect the 2011 Lotus Elise to arrive in dealers across the pond this April , with sales in the U.S. beginning later this year.

To celebrate, they have also released a very exclusive limited series of 3 “Dragons” watches, each of them available in only 9 numbered pieces.

These timepieces featuring dragons on the dial, Chinese symbol of prosperity, creative and divine strength, are hand-made with Métiers d’Art ancestral Guilloché work.

Each of the three watches is done in a different shade of gold, along with a different image of the Chinese style dragon.

Armani have teamed up with Samsung to release another “haute couture” phone, this time it is a smartphone using the Windows Mobile operating system.

It’s one of the first phones available with the Windows Mobile 6.5 operating system, which will lead the way to a new generation of mobile applications.

The phone was released by none other than Steve Ballmer who felt, the phone was “the most fashionable phone he’s ever had a chance to talk about.”

The new phone is only known as the Samsung Armani phone as Samsung hasn’t given it a specific name.

The Armani Smartphone features a Active Matrix Organic LED display giving excellent resolution with minimal energy usage.

The phone has a full keyboard which slides out from under the screen, a five megapixel camera and a gold plated bezel.

List of other specs include Microsoft Windows Mobile 6.5, .2Mbps HSDPA, WiFi access, Bluetooth, FM Radio, TV-Out, GPS navigation.

It also comes with 8GB of internal memory that can be expanded up to 32GB.

Like anything Armani, the phone doesn’t come cheap: SIM-free it’s expected to be priced at around €700 ($1,031).

There is no word as to when the phone is expected to be released worldwide.

The 2009 Christmas Book was released Tuesday by luxury retailer Neiman Marcus in Dallas.

The 83rd edition continues Neiman Marcus’ longstanding tradition of offering its customers the ultimate in awe-inspiring gifts.

But this year, perhaps a sign of the tough economic times, the million-dollar gifts are gone and 40 percent of the items are priced at under $250.

The most expensive is a sports aircraft for two. For $250,000, it flies below 10,000 feet and comes with a trailer for fast loading from water or land.

Gerald Barnes, president and CEO of Neiman Marcus Direct, said the 2009 edition “raises the bar to new heights, featuring items at the highest levels of quality and technology.”

This year’s limited edition car is a 2010 Jaguar XJL super-charged sedan, priced at $105,000. Neiman Marcus customers will be the first to be able to purchase the car, which comes with a five-piece set of luggage that matches its leather interior.

For $200,000, you and a guest can dine at the legendary Algonquin Hotel, New York, with celebrities such as Christopher Buckley, Nora Ephron, John Lithgow and George Stephanopoulos.

Eco-friendly trends are also apparent, with Neiman’s 2009 offerings including the world’s fastest electric motorcycle for $73,000, and a $12,000 sustainable design art chandelier, made from recycled glass.

Of course, a luxury model like the Pantech Sky Dupont IM-U510LE is less about the features and more about appearance.

The handset has gold-plated edges and it features a 3 inch touchscreen display, 2G-only connectivity, GPS and a 3MP camera.

DuPont & Pantech luxury phone’s design was inspired by the Dupont’s famous lighter design.

It has a push-up button that activates the phone with the same sort of muted click that can be heard when opening a lighter.

While no details have been released on carrier availability or launch date, the price will be $832 USD making this Pantech’s most expensive phone to date.

While most makers of luxury goods have suffered in the recession, watchmaker Jorg Gray can thank Barack Obama for helping it weather the downturn.

The president has been wearing one of the company’s watches since August 2007, when he got it as a gift from his Secret Service agents for his birthday.

The company says that the Secret Service originally was looking for a watch for the team, something rugged, good looking, and highly accurate.

It was decided to give one to Obama so he would be wearing the same watch as his detail.

Russian Oligarch Roman Abramovich has installed a laser based anti-paparazzi shield on his new record breaking mega yacht - the Eclipse.

Measuring 557ft long, it boasts two swimming pools, two helipads and an onboard missile defence system.

The boat’s anti-paparazzi system, described in several reports as a “laser shield”, is a little less science fiction than it sounds.

The lasers – beams of infrared light – are used to detect the electronic light sensors that digital cameras use instead of film.

The camera is then targeted with a focused beam of bright light that disrupts the potential photo, making any shots unusable.

What makes Eclipse’s system special is that it can detect any digital camera, whether it’s using a flash or not, and before the first shot.

The boat has reportedly more than doubled in cost to $1.2 billion since it was commissioned three years ago.

1881 Heritage is the Former Marine Police Headquarters that has recently been rejuvenated and re-integrated as a high-end shopping site in Hong Kong.

These buildings were constructed between 1881 and 1920, and declared as monuments under the Hong Kong Antiquities and Monuments Ordinance.

The 120-year-old site occupies 12,000 sqm near Victoria Harbour in Tsim Sha Tsui and will also feature a boutique hotel.

Suites will range in size from 600 to 800 sq. feet with each opening into a private balcony.

The hotel will also have five restaurants and bars, a souvenir store and a performance area.

Hullett House is due to open this Autumn 2009.

He was already aware of my agreement with Fab and Street Fam. He knew we are a group from our first convo.

How did you get in touch with him and eventually sign to him?
Floyd got in contact with me through my manager.

What made you trust your career with a boxer anyway?
I never trusted my career with a boxer. What we discussed was for him to put up the capital and play an investor role in the situation, while me and my manager put the project together. Floyd never had a role in any of the creative decisions.

The only perk was that I learned that everything that glitters ain’t gold.

At the time I was affiliated with Floyd, Ross didn’t say anything about me, but since Floyd was my man I asked him how he wanted to approach the situation. Floyd didn’t want to address it. Even when we saw Ross afterward in Miami, Floyd never spoke to him about it.

What happened to you and Fab?
Nothing negative ever happened. What people don’t understand is that me and Fab have more of a friendship. I’m signed to Street Family Entertainment/Def Jam as the group Street Fam with members Red Cafe, Paul Cain and Fabolous. I’m featured on the Loso’s Way album on a track titled There He Go.

You had some drug charges against you at one point. What’s the status on that?
Thanks to my great legal team everything was handled accordingly.

How long is it going to take for you to actually make it to billionaire status? How do you plan to do that?
It could be any day now that I make it to Billionaire status doing what I been doing from day one; spitting the best bar for bar. One monkey don’t stop no show.

What is your current status? Are you signed or looking at a particular situation at the moment?

A reward of $1m is being offered this weekend for information leading to the recovery of a unique collection of stolen Andy Warhol portraits.

The works of art disappeared earlier this month from the Los Angeles home of Richard Weisman, who commissioned them from the artist in the 1970s.

Weisman's 10 original silkscreen prints feature famous sporting figures. The images include portraits of boxer Muhammad Ali, tennis player Chris Evert, golfer Jack Nicklaus, footballer Pelé and disgraced actor and former American football star OJ Simpson. They were produced by Warhol between 1977 and 1979.

The pieces were taken from the walls of the house's dining room, along with a Warhol portrait of Weisman. Police said the theft had been discovered by a nanny on 3 September. The Weisman family were not at home when she spotted that the Warhol works had been removed.

Several valuable artworks, including other notable prints by Warhol, were left untouched. The house, in an exclusive area of the city on Angelo Drive, was locked at the time of the discovery and there was no sign of forced entry.

Mark Sommer, a detective with the LA police department's art theft unit, said it was unclear how the paintings had been removed but that witnesses in the road had noted a maroon van parked in the drive at around the time the theft was noticed.

"This was a very clean crime," Sommer said. "[The home] wasn't ransacked. For some reason they had an interest in this collection."

Don Hrycyk, another detective, said that the delay in announcing the theft had allowed police to organise the reward and distribute photographs of the missing artworks.

The 10 portraits that make up the collection are each about 40 inches by 40 inches and were featured in a book, Picasso to Pop: The Richard Weisman Collection, that was published by Weisman in 2003. He had tried to sell the collection the previous year for $3m (£1.8m). "The theft of Warhol's athlete series represents a profoundly personal loss to me and my family," the collector said in a statement on Friday.

Warhol became famous as an artist in the 1960s for his ground-breaking pop art images. The artist's bohemian lifestyle, combined with his avant garde film-making and the parties he held at the New York studio known as The Factory, helped to establish him as an enduring cult figure.

Brenda Klippel, director of Martin Lawrence Galleries in Los Angeles, which has a large collection of Warhols, said: "Warhol was always a portraitist and fascinated with anyone in the public eye. He wanted all of his imagery to be instantly recognisable.

"If Weisman was in his circle and had the money, he could commission what he wanted."

I’ve always thought the Audi R8 could use a little boost in the body department (especially the lower front bumper) for a bit more aggressiveness. The PPI R8 Razor is the answer. Not only does it give the Audi R8 a bolder statement in looks, it dramatically increases the stock R8 with a series of engine modifications.

PPI has coaxed an extra 40 horses and 26 little torques out of the R8’s 4.2-liter FSI V8, bringing total output up to 460 and 343 respectively. PPI claims that’s enough to drop over half a second off the car’s run to sixty, down to four seconds flat, with a top speed of 192mph. Pretty impressive.

The aero kit which I’m extremely fond of is created from full carbon fiber. The kit consists of a lip spoiler, larger air intakes that help airflow and facilitate brake cooling, along with sills, blades, a diffuser and an adjustable wing to keep this puppy glued to the tarmac. PPI also used carbon fiber to create 19-inch two-piece rims, complete with black magnesium spokes, and wrapped in ultra-low-profile Michelin Pilot Sport Cup rubber. Inside the CF love-in continues with trim pieces galore, and PPI will also reupholster the interior in custom leather, suede and Alcantara at the customer’s choice.

The watch uses the Hublot caliber HUB Solo T movement which is a tourbillon volant which has a power reserve of a hundred and twenty hours.

The six-stateroom vessel accommodates up to 13 guests and comes outfitted with two Yamaha watercraft, a 47-foot Intrepid sport motor yacht, and a six-person spa.

Serqué, which is scheduled to launch at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show in October, will spend winters chartering the Caribbean and summers exploring the Northeast.

Talon Air clients are granted the first opportunities to charter Serqué (priced from $85,000 per week) and can access her from the company’s facility in South Florida.

As the name suggests it is a "skeleton" phone, inspired by the complicated Swiss Skeleton watches. The Gresso Avantgarde Skeleton follows the same principal and allows one to peer through a sapphire crystal display at the circuitry within.

The luxury phone has been made by employing the traditions of watchmaking and jewelry art, as well as achievements in aero-space technologies.

Both the 240 x 320 display and the transparent back panel are made of crystal sapphire glass. The battery case is made of stainless steel, with a leather cover and magnet release, and the back of the handset features the Gresso logo covered with 10 micron gold. Aircraft steel has been used to make the 23 functional keys and the triangle on the front panel.

Only fifteen of the Gresso Avantgarde Skeleton phones will be made making them extremely exclusive. Each phone comes with a unique laser-engraved serial number. The new Avantgarde Skeleton is priced at 3999 euros (US $5645).

New Yorkers are used to living amongst huge skyscrapers around Madison Square Park but they have probably never seen anything like this.

For his first New York building, Daniel Libeskind has proposed a 900+ foot, 54-story glass condo with dripping sky gardens. Libeskind’s creation would swoop up next to, and past, the 700-foot Met Life tower.

Initial designs show a glass-curtained tube with cutaways spiraling up and around the façade to reveal segments of terraced verdure, like cultivated patches on the side of a steep alpine slope.

“We didn’t just fill up the tower,” the architect says. “We’ve taken space away [from the apartments] to create the gardens,” which are actually balconies tucked within the envelope. “It’s as if nature has come back into the city,” he says.

The whole project has an air of fantasy about it, but the developer is betting that the current fiscal misery will end before the approvals process does. “The assumption is that by the time construction starts, we’re going to be looking at a different economy,” Lloyd Kaplan, an Elad spokesman, says.

While the design of the New York Tower is in the embryonic stage, Libeskind said the following today via statement: “The design features a series of spiraling gardens extending the green of Madison Square along the facade of the tower. The tower is set back from its neighbors—maintaining views and maximizing light and air.” “We look forward to a continuing dialogue when the proposal enters the public review process”, he added.
